I had all the carpets cleaned in my house today by Craig and they look fantastic. They are visibly cleaner and the pile has a whole new lease of life! Craig is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend.
Tips For Choosing The Right Carpet Cleaning Company
Professional
Are they professionally & industry trained by a nationally recognised body e.g. Prochem, Ashby’s or ProRange Solutions? Don’t feel embarrassed to ask. If they’re trained professionally, they’ll be more than happy to show you their certificates.
* We have received training from Prochem, Ashby’s AND ProRange.
Insurance
Are they insured? This one is important. Find out if the carpet cleaner has insurance cover. Public Liability Insurance is required but doesn’t cover you if anything else goes wrong. Ask if they have Treatment Risk as part of their cover. If not, they’re not covered to clean your carpets or upholstery and you should look elsewhere for a carpet cleaner.
* We have cover for public liability, damage for property worked on, and treatment risks cover
Reviews
Do they have testimonials & reviews on multiple platforms? If the company has testimonials and reviews from past clients, it’s worth taking a look. Most good companies will have Social Media pages, a Google Business page and a website where you can find reviews to look through.
* You can read our reviews on Google by searching for 'Libra Carpet Care'
Equipment
What equipment do they use? A professional carpet cleaning service requires the use of professional carpet cleaning equipment. Ask what equipment they use and the best companies talk in great detail about how the machines operate and to give the best results. Some companies use very small and D.I.Y machines that can be hired or purchased on the high street. These types of machines aren't going to be enough for a thorough or quality clean and will over-wet and can ruin your carpets.
* All our machines and equipment are top-specification worth over £6000
First Impressions
Are they uniformed? All good companies are proud companies and will put thought into things like uniforms and vehicle branding. Be wary of companies or operatives that turn up with no uniform or branding on their vehicles, as they may run a carpet cleaning business, it just means there may be a reason why they don’t want to show those details.
* We are proud of our branding and I'm happy to have my face on the website homepage
Business Details
Do they have all business details on Social Media and their website? Check for a landline phone number, business address, mobile number, and a business email address (not a personal one). If something goes wrong and they don’t have some of these details, the company can block you on Social Media or on a mobile and also if there’s no business address, there’s no way of contacting them.
* All our companies details are readily available
Quotations
Do they offer a free quote? A reputable carpet cleaning company should be happy to provide you with a free, no-obligation quote, either by phone, online form or in person. If a company puts you under pressure and uses pushy sales tactics to get you to book an appointment, move on to another company.
* All our quotes are 100% free and completely without obligation
Pricing
Are their prices really cheap? When deciding which carpet cleaning company to use, price is going to be one of the key considerations for most customers. Avoiding really cheap companies e.g. £20 a room, or 6 rooms for £80 as this may seem great, are they realistic prices? Often when prices are too low, then this is where the problems occur with low-quality service and results.
* All our prices are 100% fixed and with no hidden extras
Memberships
Are they members of a trade group? Check to see if the business is a member of any relevant professional bodies or associations, such as the Federation of Master Cleaners. This is a good indication that you’ll be dealing with a company that cares about its reputation and the quality of the services it provides.
* We are a member of the Federation of Master Cleaners
Quotations & Invoicing
Do they provide a full quotation and invoices with their business name, logo and contact details on? Be wary of not getting a written quotation before the clean as they may increase the price after the clean has been completed. A full invoice needs to be given to the client at the end of the clean no matter what the payment method is. For example, if you pay in cash and you don’t receive an invoice and there’s a problem, there’s no way of proving that the work has been carried out; there's no chance of any potential claim being successful.
* All quotes and invoices are professionally prepared
